As a California child, I gleaned peaches and strawberries after the local harvesters harvested. My sisters and I plucked olives from the neighbor's orchard, and spent hours in the summer sun picking juicy blackberries from the thorny overgrowth down the driveway, fed by the trickling irrigation ditch. Blackberry pie. Blackberry jam. In Montana, apples and cherries. Fruit is good food.

10-minute sketches for art class. Theme - anything BOOKS! Current good reads while meditating on the assignment: Gratitude, Threshold, and a great new interest, Chinese Fairy Tales. I have since collected Korean and Japanese fairy tale books as well. Inspiring!
