MONEY

The sweet sound of coins
tinkling in my tiny purse 
soon to fly away.

A fresh page to turn
a newly printed message 
the birth of a book.

The young envy age,
The elderly - youth.
The dying seek life.
The wise pursue truth.

I spoke to the sun
it gave a radiant smile
but did not answer.

Snow nicely covers
mountain peaks and front porches 
fresh, clean, and freezing.

From house to house,
From state to state,
From this world on
To Heaven's gate.

You are not unknown
each and every star God named
surely He knows yours.

An old bird feeder
hangs in the young maple tree
catering to squirrels.

Gardening has worth
digging, sowing, harvesting 
very down-to-earth.
